Work from home is a dream for everyone. I believe that no one like to be restricted. All of us understand that getting a job and working for others will restrict our freedom as we need to work almost everyday at a fixed time. Work from Home Ideas
In fact, I have been looking for work from home opportunities since I was 17. I have tried many approaches to gain my financial freedom. Below are some of the work from home ideas that I have tried before (maybe you too). Let us start the discussion!
i. Investment
My first work from home idea is to give a try on investment. I heard that mutual fund investment is quite profitable and it requires small amount of money to get started. Moreover, it is a low risk and long term investment. Thus, I went to a well-known local investment agency to place my first investment on one of the recommended mutual fund with RM1000 in 2006. However, after 3 months, I still cannot see any profit from it. I know that this is not my way to achieve financial freedom.
Four years later, I got a chance to learn on share investment. It is interesting and quite profitable. Yet, before you can really earn money from stock market, you need a lot of knowledge. If you do not have sufficient knowledge like way of reading on the board, way of fundamental and technical analysis, way of reading the financial report, way to follow the market trend and so on, I will strongly suggest you not to take any risk on share investment.
In my opinion, share investment is just like a bubble which I cannot predict and fully control it. It solely depends on the world financial status. Hence, I noticed that this work from home opportunity is not my way to get financial freedom safely.
ii. Online Job Opportunities
Then, I started to look on the online job opportunities. Firstly, I tried to do the online survey. I can earn around $0.50 for completing one survey. However, I seldom get the survey offer. Furthermore, I need to spend around 20 minutes to fill up the survey which is boring and meaningless.
Next, I tried to apply for the online freelance job. Similarly, I just managed to get few offers in a month. Since then, I start to understand that instead of working for others, why don’t I start my own home based business? There are plenty of home based business opportunities in fact.

iii. Network Marketing
In 2006, I was approached by my best friend telling me about the network marketing. I decided to give it a try. Within 3 months, I managed to expand my network to 40+ individuals. My monthly income in this business is around RM400 per month at that time. However, it was not an easy effort. I spent a lot of time and effort just to build up the team. Obviously, I was not happy even though I earned a decent income from it. I felt stress. After entering the University, I decided to give it up so that I can concentrate more on my University activities.
iv. Internet Marketing
By chance, I saw a book teaching the beginners to create blog to share their life and make money online. I started to build up my blog in 2009. I learnt a lot about internet marketing such as search engine optimization, HTML code, affiliate marketing and product launching. Until now, I own more than 10 blogs and earn some pocket money from it. I am sure that this is the best way of work from home ideas for me to achieve financial freedom! 
v. Internet Marketing + Network Marketing
Recently, I have partnered up with an enthusiastic internet marketer. We plan to combine internet marketing and network marketing. These are the most explosive marketing strategies in this era. If we manage to combine these two marketing strategies, I am sure that we can help more people to grab these online home based business opportunities to continue their passion and work from home.
